- Hi everyone!
-
- I know this isn't amiga.software, but it appears that there is a
- lot of knowledge about software concentrated in this newsgroup as well.
- I was wondering if anyone knows how someone could use a C64
- printer with an Amiga (A1000/1.3WB.) I have A64 (C64 emulator) which came
- with the parallel/adaptor box and it works fine with the 64Print utility.
- What I would like to do, since I'm setting up this system for people who
- like things automatic, is have 64Print (or something similar) running as a
- commodity so when documents are printed (of course, text only) from within
- applications, they can be converted and printed directly from that
- application by being directed to 64Print. I can't really think of any
- practical way of doing this. I've considered PIPE:ing, or somehow
- changing/configuring parallel.device, but I don't know enough about them.
- 64Print works like this: 64Print <filename> [device (4/5)] so I need to
- have it running with constants like: 64Print *buffer 4. Also, 64Print is
- about 8.5K so it might be easily rewritten into a commodity (?). What is
- the easiest thing to do?
-
- Thanks in advance!
